With a 30-year heritage, 800 indoor and outdoor courts and 400 first class coaches, our experts have definitely got the upper hand when it comes to serving up the perfect racquets experience.
Tennis is where it started at David Lloyd Leisure, so naturally, we’ve got quite a lot to offer. We have the largest accredited coaching team in the world, hundreds of match-quality indoor and outdoor courts and a huge range of options for adults and children. From coaching programmes that match your level to group sessions, tournaments and of course our unique junior All Stars programme for budding champs, find your level and take advantage - whatever your age or ability.
Your Welcome will make sure you get exactly the right coaching and programme to suit your level of tennis experience and on court confidence level. The Racquets Welcome is in two parts: a 30 minute off court meeting and a fun, gentle on court session for 40 minutes.
Develop your skills, confidence, fitness and passion for tennis on this four-week Fast Track course. Each 90 minute session will cover all you need to build your game, including topspin forehand, backhand volleys, serve and smash plus a mini tournament.
Once the basics have been mastered in Fast Track, move on to our progressive On Track programme. The length of the full course varies, and each 90 minute session develops skills, stamina and confidence even further, ending with a group tournament.
No longer a beginner but not quite an intermediate? Power Track is the perfect course to get you match ready for that next level of tennis. Get to grips with some of the more technical elements of the game and use your 90 minute sessions for skills and social tennis.
Fast-paced and played in a group rather than with a partner, Cardio Tennis is the high-energy and highly enjoyable gym workout on court. Major benefits include:
From little smashers on the Tennis All Stars programme, to adults picking up a racquet for the first time and good players that want to be even better, our 400 first-class coaches have definitely got game and the expertise to help you.
Coaching options include:
We want even our youngest members to share our passion for tennis and if they’re old enough to hold a racquet, they can either join parents or other young players on court. It’s great for building balance, confidence and co-ordination skills, too.
With our Tennis All Stars programme and Tots and Parents tennis sessions, it’s never too early for a future Murray or Robson to make their on court debut.
Tennis can be a social thing, a competitive thing, a serious sport or a fun way to let off steam.
For the next step up, teens can carry on their training or start from scratch in our supervised sessions for 11 and overs. Teens can try the 4-week Fast Track coaching course, play with friends and come along to tennis Club Nights, a great way to stay active in the evenings. As with the adult programme, we'll team our F.I.T groups up by age and ability for matches.
We know many of our Racquets members just love the opportunity to show off their skills, so our competitions are the perfect place to unleash that competitive streak. And the really good news is that aside from the advanced tournaments, we have events aimed at intermediates and beginners as well.
Tennis is more than lessons and competitions – it’s also a huge part of the social scene at our racquets club. This is exactly why there are weekly ‘Club Sessions’, where members can come along and find other players to have a game with. It’s a fantastic, free way for participants to not only raise their game, but to get to know a few other tennis enthusiasts along the way.
