Cardio Tennis is an exciting new group activity that’s gathering hundreds of new fans every day. Not only does it provide the ultimate high-energy workout and a great alternative to the gym but it also develops your tennis skills – whatever your level of play. You don’t even need to be a tennis player to enjoy Cardio Tennis with David Lloyd. If you can swing a racquet, you can enjoy a level of workout that more than rivals the gym. And if you’re a decent tennis player, you can only improve the level of your game. In fact, if you’re short of a tennis partner or your regular partner can’t provide you with the level of workout you’d like, this is an amazingly enjoyable alternative to a match!

Here’s how it works:Cardio Tennis combines traditional tennis practice with other stamina-building skills along with exercise measurement technology. When you’re running for balls, you’re working on your racquet skills, your reaction time and your hand-eye co-ordination.

When you’re not hitting balls, you’re doing fast-paced drills and sideline exercises. Heart-pumping music sets the pace: with short cycles of high intensity workouts and periods of rest. And with the aid of a heart-rate monitor, you’ll know exactly when to pick up the pace and when to slow it down.

Optimum Calorie Burn

The graph below shows that your optimum calorie burn occurs at between 65-85% of your maximum heart rate.
