There are FOUR components to be considered when aiming to achieve fast, healthy and long-term weight loss. The components will enable you to exercise effectively for your body type, achieving results now and in the future.
Nutrition
Approximately 80% of weight loss is attributed to nutrition. Our food choices and eating habits, such as the timing of our meals, have a significant impact on the weight we lose or gain! Making the right choices are essential to successfully losing weight.
Resistance Training
Training with resistance is a positive addition to any weight loss programme. As our muscles become more active and adapt to gradually increasing workloads, our resting metabolism increases, allowing us to burn more calories, accelerating weight loss and ensuring it is more sustainable.
Cardio Training
Cardio training is the most commonly used method of training for weight loss and it need not take endless minutes, or miles racked up on a treadmill, to burn lots of calories. If applied correctly, an effective cardio training programme can increase our resting metabolism too.
Personal Training
Personal Training is an ideal way to agree the key solutions that need to be focused on each day to achieve your goals. Coaching from a Personal Trainer ensures that you are always on the right track and focused on the issues that make that all important difference. Seeing things from a different perspective ensures they take into consideration the ‘whole picture’ and deliver the best training package for you.
The LOSE IT package provides an opportunity for one of our highly qualified trainers to work with you over the course of 12 weeks to help you reach your weight loss goals.
Our experience tells us that single sessions do not effectively achieve effective or sustainable weight loss. For fast, healthy and long-term weight loss goals to be achieved, our Personal Trainers will work with you over a period of time, so that they can ensure the LOSE IT package is delivering results for you and that you find it fun and enjoyable!
The stages below outlines the average experience from a 10-session Personal Training package.
Stage 1: Initial 0 – 4 weeks
- Consultation to establish your goals
- Understanding and application of nutritional strategies and exercise begins
- Experience feelings associated with change, start to feel progress is being made
Stage 2: Visual 4 – 8 weeks
- Nutritional strategies and exercise become more second nature and habitual
- Volumes of work progress
- Start to see desired changes such as weight loss, clothes becoming looser and muscles toning
Stage 3: Results 8 – 12 weeks
- Nutritional strategies and exercises are now embedded
- Target weight based on 1–2lb weight loss per week will be achieved
Stage 4: Maintenance or go again 12+ weeks
- Decide to apply new skills on your own
